The Autumn sales have begun in London with Christie's Islamic week, a sale of Oriental rugs and carpets on the 18th October including a good selection of antique and collectable Oriental rugs and carpets from most periods and provenances. Also on the 3rd November at King Street, the National Trust are selling a large 19th century Axminster carpet from Hanbury Hall, Worcester.
